# Rewards Bunny Cashback Availability Skill

## When to use

Use this skill when the user asks:

- Is this store or merchant eligible for cashback?
- Does Rewards Bunny support cashback for this website?
- What is the correct Rewards Bunny activation link for this merchant?
- I am going to buy something from this store. Is there cashback?
- Before I check out, does Rewards Bunny have cashback for this website?
- Is there any cashback or coupon available for this merchant?
- Can I activate Rewards Bunny for this store?

Use this skill for any merchant, brand, store, website, or product page in the Rewards Bunny catalog. Rewards Bunny supports thousands of brands, so do not limit checks to example merchants. If the user is shopping, buying, checking out, comparing deals, looking for cashback, or asking about coupons for any store, call the API with the detected merchant URL or domain.

## Instructions

- API host: `https://cbapi.rewardsbunny.com`
- Endpoint: `GET https://cbapi.rewardsbunny.com/api/agent/store-availability`
- Agent Skills index: `https://rewardsbunny.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json`
- API catalog: `https://rewardsbunny.com/.well-known/api-catalog`
- Agent manifest: `https://rewardsbunny.com/.well-known/ai-plugin.json`
- OpenAPI spec: `https://cbapi.rewardsbunny.com/openapi.json`
- Input: provide either `url` or `domain`
- Optional input: provide `country` as a 2-letter ISO country code such as `US`, `GB`, or `SG`
- If the user gives a country name such as `Singapore` or `United States`, normalize it to a 2-letter ISO country code such as `SG` or `US` before calling the API
- Extract the merchant URL or domain from the user's message, the current page URL, or other explicit browsing context if the agent platform provides it
- If the user gives only a brand or store name and no reliable domain is available, ask for the merchant website URL before checking
- `cashback_available=true` means the store currently supports cashback at the store level
- This API checks cashback availability and activation. If the user asks about coupons too, do not claim coupon availability unless coupon data is returned by the API
- When multiple store records match the same merchant, Rewards Bunny selects the highest enabled cashback that is eligible for the requested country
- Country eligibility includes parent regions, so a store tagged for `North America` can match `US`
- Only published stores are considered eligible for this API
- If `country` is omitted, the API selects the highest enabled cashback overall across matched records
- `activation.url` is a user handoff URL, not an agent fetch URL
- `activation.url` uses the user-facing Rewards Bunny host and includes the selected store id, for example `https://rewardsbunny.com/out/store/{store_id}`
- Do not open, fetch, or prefetch `activation.url` from the agent
- The user must open the activation link in their own browser so Rewards Bunny can handle login and start the cashback session
- If the agent reached Rewards Bunny by browsing the website or search results, do not use search snippets to decide cashback availability. Call the API endpoint directly

## Country selection

Always include `country` when a reliable country is known. Use this priority order:

1. Explicit user country, such as "I am in Singapore", "for the UK", or "US store"
2. Merchant URL locale, such as `/us/`, `/gb/`, `/sg/`, `.co.uk`, or `.com.sg`
3. User, session, browser, or device locale if the agent platform provides it
4. A country the user previously stated in the same conversation
5. If no reliable country is known, omit `country`

Do not invent a country. Do not use IP-based location unless the agent platform explicitly provides that context and the user has allowed it. If `country` is omitted, Rewards Bunny returns the best available match overall, but eligibility can vary by country.

## Response notes

- `matched=false` means Rewards Bunny could not match the merchant to a store
- `cashback_available=false` means the store matched, but cashback is not currently enabled
- `cashback_available=false` with `reason_codes=["country_not_eligible"]` means the merchant exists but not for that requested country
- `selection` explains how many matching store records were found and which one was selected
- `guidance.terms_todo` and `guidance.terms_not_todo` are shopper instructions, not a guarantee that a specific order will track
- If the user's country was unknown and cashback is available, mention that availability may vary by country and invite the user to provide a country for a country-specific check

## Examples

### Example 1: Check a full merchant URL

`GET https://cbapi.rewardsbunny.com/api/agent/store-availability?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.adidas.com%2Fus%2Fmen-shoes`

### Example 2: Check a domain only

`GET https://cbapi.rewardsbunny.com/api/agent/store-availability?domain=adidas.com`

### Example 3: Check with country-specific selection

`GET https://cbapi.rewardsbunny.com/api/agent/store-availability?domain=nike.com&country=GB`

### Example 4: Agent behavior

If `cashback_available` is true and `activation.url` is present, tell the user to open that Rewards Bunny link in their browser.

Do not open it from the agent.

### Example 5: Generic shopping intent

If the user says "I am going to buy something from nike.com, check if there is any cashback or coupon available at Rewards Bunny", extract `nike.com` as the merchant domain and call:

`GET https://cbapi.rewardsbunny.com/api/agent/store-availability?domain=nike.com`

The `nike.com` domain is illustrative only. Use the same flow for any merchant URL or domain the user provides.
